Rogue Creamery Farm

In 2008 we set the goal of controlling our milk source. In order to do what we needed to find a viable dairy in the Rogue Valley that fit our needs and our budget. We found one late in 2011 and have slowly brought it back to life. This has been and continues to be an incredibly ambitious project. There were no animals and the place was derelict, but it was OURS!

The Central Point team rejoiced when Todd Hayton arrived to lead the dairy team. With 25 years experience as a dairyman, Todd was ready to roll up his sleeves and help us in the last phases of rehabilitating our newly acquired, but sadly neglected, organic dairy in Grants Pass.

Here’s an idea of what the Dairy team has done since the project began in 2012:
• Raze the milking barn (roof panels were repurposed into awnings at the Cheese Shop!)
• New electricity in 5 farm buildings
• Demolish & rebuild loafing barn
• Convert milking parlor into new calf barn
• Gently return cows to the farm

Plaisance Ranch

Salmon safe, certified organic beef and hay (delivery available). Lamb and pork. Ranch-raised, grass-finished animals. ODA certified grafted grapevines, wine grapes and fine wines.

Plaisance Ranch has been a working ranch since 1858. It is located in the heart of the Williams Valley, in the shadow of Greyback Mountain. The Ginet family has a rich history in the ranching and vineyard business that spans over hundreds of years and across two continents. For many generations, our family has been growing grapes and cattle and producing grapevines amongst the mountains of Savoie in eastern France. Today, we continue this tradition in America.

The English Lavender Farm

Here at the English Lavender Farm we opened our doors for business in 2014. We have been planting Angustafolias (English Lavender) for the last five years and are planning to double the original planted acreage eventually. We completed work on our drying barn in 2014 which sits at the bottom of our lavender field and this venue, as well as providing drying space for our crop, serves as a farm stand where we sell our hand crafted lavender products and drinks. As we grow, expect to see us turn to our plans for an event area where we become a luxurious venue for weddings and other events.

Our farm is set on a gently sloping hillside and there are stunning vistas of row upon row of purple lavender. If you prefer not to walk up to the lavender we offer access to the edge of the lavender field by road and we invite you to drive to the top of the hill and enjoy the view. Our gift shop has a wide variety of hand made lavender products produced on the farm and we offer U-Pick lavender, wreath and wand making as well as the opportunity to just sit and take in the view.
