Art Along The Rogue 2023
Art Along The Rogue’s 2023 Theme:
Blockbusters on The Block
October 6th, 7th, & 8th
The 20th Annual Art Along the Rogue Art and Music Festival will be the “chalk” of the town! Join other professional chalk artists and turn 5th and H streets in our historic downtown into masterpieces. The City of Grants Pass is searching for artists (teams welcome) for its signature historic downtown festival. Chosen artists will enjoy creative control of their chalk art masterpieces and receive significant visibility and exposure throughout the three-day festival.
There are two headline artists already chosen and plenty of 10 x 10 and 8 x 8 volunteer spaces available and it’s a great opportunity to network with fellow artists. Grants Pass is the cultural hub in Southern Oregon and the community will come out and support you. Come be a part of our biggest festival yet!
Since its conception in 2003, Art Along the Rogue has grown into one of Grants Pass’ premier community events. It is one of the leading street chalk and music festivals in the state. It attracts thousands of visitors to Grants Pass during the fall season when the trees become colorful and the climate settles in for the winter.
Our theme this year is “Blockbusters on the Block.” Grab your popcorn and favorite boxed candy and gain inspiration from a night at the movies. The nostalgia runs deep when it comes to movies like; “Gone with the Wind,” “2001: A Space Odyssey,” “Rocky,” “Forest Gump” and can’t forget “Star Wars.” Your art does not have to be a literal interpretation. The very act of you joyfully creating your original piece on the street is exactly what the event is meant to be about.

I’m a self taught artist based in Santa Barbara California. Formerly I was a champion motorcycle racer, computer scientist, dancer and choreographer. I’ve been creating art since the age of 3 when I was drawing animal illustrations. For many pieces I work solo, but I have also produced art while managing a team of artists for larger projects.
