A Step Back in Time

There is a fantastic neighborhood in Northwest Grants Pass of old majestic homes built in the era of grand front porches – when time moved more slowly, and folks gathered on these porches to visit and make music together. Join Rogue Gateway Rotary on June 20, 2020, for the 4th Annual PorchFest Grants Pass, and relive this era of hospitality!

The Heart of It

The vintage homes make a marvelous backdrop for this event, but the neighbors themselves are what make it so special. They generously open up their homes to musicians, volunteers, and event-goers for PorchFest.

Originating in Ithaca NY, PorchFest revives a time when neighbors gathered on front porches with their guitars and fiddles. PorchFest debuted in Grants Pass two years ago and was an instant success. Last year there were 127 other PorchFest festivals nationwide…and the Grants Pass event is the only PorchFest in Oregon!

The Music

Musicians performing everything from country to pop, folk to R&B and more will showcase their talents 11AM-3PM on the streets surrounding Lawnridge Park. Admission is free! The area will be closed to traffic, so you can stroll or bike through the neighborhood, hang out in lawn chairs and enjoy the music and the food, drinks, and artwork offered by numerous vendors! More information about this year's musicians can be found on the PorchFest Grants Pass Facebook page.

Helping Our Community

This year, Rogue Gateway Rotary Club is organizing PorchFest and will use the proceeds to underwrite programs for youth, including Family Solutions and the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Josephine County.

Family Solutions provides mental health support, creating opportunities for healing to youth, adults, and families in Southern Oregon.

CASA volunteers work with abused or neglected children, helping them progress through the foster care system to rejoin their families if possible or to transition to safe, permanent homes.

PorchFest Grants Pass is a 501(c)(3) organization; contributions are tax deductible. To learn how you can participate, visit porchfestgrantspass.org.
